John R. Ness, President & CEO
John R. Ness is President/CEO and owner of ODW Logistics, Inc. and affiliates. ODW affiliated companies include Dist-Trans Co., ODW Contract Services, ODW LTS, LLC, and Staffing Leadership Group, LLC.
John is responsible for setting company vision, selecting company leaders, removing barriers, driving for results and preserving the company culture. A passionate entrepreneur, John led ODW through its first business acquisition that significantly expanded the company’s scope and reach. He has successfully launched four new businesses since 2006.
A graduate of Wittenberg University with a B.S in Management, he assumed the role of President of the ODW companies in 2003 and became CEO in 2012. John is majority owner of ODW related companies.
John and his wife (Emily) have four children and live in Upper Arlington.
Melissa Zimmerman, Director
Melissa Zimmerman is the Director of, Staffing Leadership Group, an affiliate of ODW Logistics, Inc. Staffing Leadership Group is a complete human capital partner for the logistics industry supplying strategic solutions throughout Ohio, Wisconsin, California and Missouri.
Melissa joined SLG this past April. Her job is to ensure over all performance of SLG focusing on efficiency, quality, and increased speed to staff. Her focus will be providing a foundation for all clients to achieve growth and success as well as stable income and job advancement for our associates. Melissa is based out of our Ohio office.
Melissa comes to us with over 15 years in HR, Staffing, Recruiting and Leadership. She has overseen multiple offices and has been a HR Manager for a logistics facility with over 250 associates. Most recently, she spent the last 8 years as a Sr. Manager (specializing in logistics staffing). Melissa is a member of the American Staffing Association.
Melissa and her husband (Brian) have 4 children and live in Dublin, Ohio. She loves to volunteer a lot in her community. She also loves to craft and cook. She most recently joined the BBBS mentorship program as a Mentor.
Carey Williams, Regional Account Manager
Carey Williams is the Regional Account Manager for all markets not on the West Coast, Staffing Leadership Group, an affiliate of ODW Logistics, Inc. Staffing Leadership Group is a complete human capital partner for the logistics industry supplying strategic solutions throughout Ohio, Wisconsin, California and Missouri.
As the Regional Account manager, Carey focuses on providing strategic solutions to staffing issues and overall client relationship enhancements to ensure our clients achieve their desired success.
Carey Joined the SLG team in July 2016 utilizing her experience as a human resources professional in the logistics and supply chain industry for 5 years. Responsible for implementing, managing and cultivating productive client relationships.
Carey is a member of The American Staffing Association and a proud board member for the Nonprofit group EPIC. She is born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and enjoys music, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mirci Matos, West Coast Regional Account Manager
Joining the SLG team in 2016, Mirci has over 10 years of experience specializing in providing guidance, support and leadership to team members, supervisors and managers, for both startups and stable organizations ranging in mid-size to fortune 500 organizations.
Her experience includes employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and development, talent acquisition, management and compliant issues for the state of CA.
She has experience in various industries including: professional services, distribution, manufacturing, telecommunications, staffing and sales.
Over the span of her career in HR and talent acquisition, Mirci has gained vast experience and is now responsible for guiding the growth of Staffing Leadership Group on the West Coast.
Mirci was born and raised in New York and has lived in California now for over 12 years. Proud mother of two children, both in competitive sports with Olympic goals.
